I recently decided to upgrade my Dell XPS 8700, and I'm getting a new PSU, and tower, but I was wondering if my motherboard (mATX Z87) will work with the R9 390 8GB? It's got a PCI-E 3.0 x16 slot.
If it helps any, my CPU is an Intel Quad Core i7 4790 @3.60GHz non-K.

Solution
Yes, the motherboard supports the R9 390.

The other two considerations are the size of the card in your case and your PSU. As long as the card fits and you have a good PSU to power it you should be set.

Thanks so much! I shouldn't have an issue with fitting the GPU in the case as I'm ordering a full tower.

Can't see any problems but a few points:
Bear in mind that AMD cards need good airflow for their coolers to work at their best, so whatever case you choose, be sure to plan for at least 4 good fans: Two front for intake, one rear exhaust and one in the roof, also as exhaust.
Don't go overboard with the power, good quality 600 Watt parts are more than enough.
If you have several add in boards you'll probably find the slot directly below the PCI-E slot is blocked by the new card cooler, again, plan accordingly.

What tower would achieve this?

Thanks to you, as well! I'm looking into this tower!
