Hey Guys,

I recently bought an Asrock z97 Extreme3 Motherboard and installed it in my computer. It worked great for a few months but then I decided to move it to a new place and it refused to turn back on again. I know there is a large thread associated with this particular problem on reddit but there was no address made to the Extreme3 version and while I have the symptom of having the MB work until the power is completely removed I don't have the indicator of an overheating LDO. Sorry if this is really vague but i have a decent amount of money in this system (For me anyways) and it would be rather frustrating to have to buy a new MB... in conclusion HELP!!

Thank you.

Solution
"pushing the start button warrents absolutely no response from the computer at all'

I suggest leaving only the CPU and CPU cooler installed, both 24 and 8 pin power cables connected. No other components/cables.
Start the board by shortly touching with a screwdriver the 2 pins on the motherboard corresponding to the case power button.
See if the CPU fan does spin.
