So I just upgraded to a Netgear Nighthawk 5300ac router and I was wondering if I should also upgrade my modem to get the most out of my new router and if so what do you think I should upgrade to? Basically I figured by buying one of the best routers out right now I should be future proof for the next 5-10 years, and I will be getting the most out of the internet speed being sent to my house from Time Warner Cable. Currently I have a Motorola Surfboard SB6141 modem. As always thank you for your help! Opinions welcome.

Thank you sir I just wanted to make sure. in a few weeks my little bro is coming home and we will be gaming a lot so I just want to make sure I wasn't bottlenecking and update I am upgrading to the 5300ac. I figure this way I am getting the most out of my internet provider and it should last for a few years. They also come with your own personal cloud.
