I have ASrock 990FX extreme4 motherboard. There are 6 hard drives already attached via sata cables. I purchased Intel 750 series pci e storage 400gb. It is connected to the 2nd pcie slot. The 1st has the graphics card. The windows installer sees the pcie storage but the BIOS does not. It is updated to the latest firmware 2.70. Can anyone help :(

Considering the last BIOS revision was mid 2014, it could just be the case that it is not updated still for at least officially supporting the PCIE SSDs. But as long as you can see it in the installer, and it detects it in the windows desktop then I wouldn't worry about it, unless you were wanting to install the OS on the PCIE SSD then I do not have much advice on that.

I would contact intel over this. As a PCI(e) bus card, you just need to see that the bus sees the card - you said is does because windows finds it. SO it is seen on the bus. The fact that the bios does not see it as a memory/drive device, says to me that the intel card would need a bios, just as your video card does to be seen as the device it is.
Looking at this card being used in Linux might give you a better idea of how the hardware call works.

Good luck.
