I have in my current laptop a single 8gb 1600mhz ram, I have a stock ram lying around here which is a 2gb 1333mhz ram.

If i put them together, would it be dual channel and Increase performance?

I might do dual channel, but your 8gb's of RAM would have to slow down to the 1333 mHz to match your slower set, thus nullifying any performance benefit. I would stick with the 8 gb's you have and upgrade to 8 gb's more (if you think you need it). 99% of system will be fine with just 8 gb's of RAM. If you want dual channel benefits you will need to have matched DIMM's of same speed and capacity to get the most benefit out of them. You might be able to get another 8 gb matching set from your existing one, but it is a crap shoot if it will actually match up. It should though give you dual channel operation.

It is all up to you on what you want to do, so keep those options listed above in mind.

What if I have a single 4gb (1333mhz) and 2x2gb (1333mhz), What is better, that or a single 8gb 1600mhz?

Single 8 gb's will be the best option. Dual channel will give you somewhere between 5-10% (I can't remember where I heard that) benefit, but having double the RAM will be the better option (8 gb's of single channel vs. 4 gb's of dual channel).

No, I mean I have 2x2gb, a single 4gb, and a single 8gb in stock right now, I have 2 laptops, one with 4 slots of ram which is gaming (im prioritizing this) and also a lenovo thinkpad which only has 2 slots, Im thinking should I single 8gb my lenovo then do put 2x2gb, a single 4gb in my gaming laptop so they both have 8gb of ram?

Both works just fine, I'm just not sure about on how it will affect performance.. What do you think?

I don't you will see much difference, IMHO. It is up to you if you want to change things up, but your probably not going to notice much difference. RAM isn't really that limiting of gaming, if your using similar amounts of it. This idea changes, if your sharing the system RAM with the iGPU (like AMD's APU or using Intel's iGPU).
