i7 6700(non k) with GTX 980 or i5 6600k with GTX 980 ti? This is a 1200$ PC Build, if you have a better 1200$ build, please also write it down :D

Go with the i5-6600k setup. i7 is not really needed for gaming.

I wouldn't go skylake as of now, there is a new issue, where the CPU is bent under 3rd party coolers bending the CPU and damaging pins. I'd go back to haswell until that is taken care of.


Ignore the 4790k price, seems like my pcpp is being dumb, and won't select the next cheapest price. It should be 319.99 from SuperBiiz
