As title states, I'd like to upgrade (or fix?) my RAM capacity - I've been getting warnings recently that my RAM is maxing out in certain cases.

Fixing the problem?
I used to be able to open several games up (ie. Dota2, Tomb Raider, Assassin's Creeds, Splinter Cell, etc) without running into errors. However, recently I got back into World of Warcraft, and it seems to use up all my RAM - I get errors about maxing when I only have Skype,Chrome, and WoW open. Is there something wrong with my system or is just WoW being a crapshoot about eating up RAM?

Upgrading RAM
I've been out of a loop for a while, but I do know stuff like DDR4 is now out and popularized. Not sure what the best options are for my system when taking into account compatibility.

System Core Specs (~2years old)
CPU: Intel i5-3570k (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819116504)
MOBO: Asrock Z77 Extreme4 (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813157293)
GPU: Asus GTX 770 2GB (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121770)
RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws X 2x4gb (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231428)
POWER: Seasonic M12II 620W (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817151095)
STORAGE: 1TB Seagate Barracuda HDD, 128GB Kingston SSDVNow (only for OS), 500GB Samsung 850 EVO

What's the best route for upgrading RAM?

Ideally I think I'd like 32GB (longevity's sake, for current and future systems) for under $200 (ideally under $150), but since I've been out of the loop for a while, I'm not sure what the reliable brand/models/specs are and the price ranges are. Any suggestions would be great! Thanks

Solution
3570K might carry 1866 and the Ripjaws X would be a good pick, (or the Snipers in CL9) could give the 1866/8 Tridents a go also - great sticks

The simplest thing you could do is to purchase that RAM again and use 4x4GB DDR3-1600 9-9-9.

The next simplest thing you could do is to purchase a 2x8GB kit of DDR3 RAM and replace your existing RAM. You can use any speed and timing you want, the higher the better but I'd suggest you keep it under $100. Well, higher clock rate and lower timing is better.

The only way you could move into DDR4 is by replacing your motherboard, CPU, and RAM. This is obviously beyond your budget, which is great because there's nothing fundamentally wrong with an i5-3570K or with DDR3 now or even the next couple years.

Thanks for the suggestion! I looked around a bit and didn't find much reviews (although the ones I did find all rate it highly). How does this compare to your G.Skill/Corsair RAM, as I'm more familiar with those than Kingston (which I think is more for SSD/storage stuff)?

Also, as the previous poster mentioned it, what timings should I be setting this RAM you've suggested?

Thanks for the input! I would prefer 2x8, since 4x4 is most likely not going to fit (I run a Hyper 212 Evo cooler). I figured DDR4 is unlikely, since my setup is quite old (model-wise).

Look for 2x8GB, buying another 2x4GB (even the same exact model offers no guarantees the new will play with the old. If OCing the 3570K could look at 1866 or 2133 otherwise I'd stick to 1600 sticks prob the GSkill Ripjaws X or Sniper lines of DRAM, with your budget could even go the Trident X, I ran those in my Z77 Ex4 mobo, with the 3570K it was a great combo ;)

Well, I actually had no idea about pricing. I didn't know RAM dropped so heavily in recent years. I'd probably change my upper limit to ~$90-100. I wonder if I should go up to 32...

In any case, what's the more popular pick for 2x8gb? I know G.Skill Ripjaws X is reputable from when I first built my PC, and the previous suggestion of the HyperX Fury line is quite well rated as well. I just am not sure which is better for my system and I guess for "futureproofing." Also, what CAS latency and speed timing would I want to get? I don't OC anything, nor do I plan to (I know, a waste of a 3570k). Snooping around I think people suggest CAS 9, but I don't know about 1600 vs 1866 vs higher (I only really game on this computer).
