I have a Dell Optiplex 745 and I am trying to install a Cool Master 850w real power pro but I all I get is a blinking orange light. I have everything connected but nothing is powering up. Please help if you can. I was hoping to have my system upgraded by Christmas.

Cooler Master PSUs are considered by people who track these things (Shilka @ OCN) to be bad news and can kill systems. Very high ripple current that doesn't meet ATX minimum specs. (I need to take mine out). If your old PSU works I'd say you've found the problem. You can look up PSU ranking charts on several websites. OCN, Johnnyguru, and others. EVGA, Rosewill, Seasonic and Corsair have good reputations.
