New build won't post after moving desk

Put this together at my dining room table to stay off the carpet. Got everything up and running with no issues. Then when I moved it to my computer desk it wouldn't post. Took it back to the table and redid the cabling figuring something must be shorting the MB. Got it up and running again. Then when I moved it the same thing happened. Only now after completely rebuilding it it still won't post. If I remove the ram it will give me an error beep. Even tried building outside the case. I am RMA'ing the ram and MB. any idea's on what happened?

heres my specs

Hello... 1) I suspect your PS to MB connection is not fully seated... They are hard to push in... You can cracked a trace on your MB, if you DO NOT support the back of the MB while plugging/pushing on it... becarful here.
2) I have seen bad wall outlets and PS cords to the Computer PS too.
3) You could have RAM/GPU etc not properly seated.

after last rebuild that may be but it ran just fine for the first day. Was able to reinstall all operating systems and programs. Even played fallout 4 for an couple hours. It only failed when I moved from the table to my desk.

been thru that twice after first time rebuilding got it working again after second no go. It will start fans and light an led on the MB but no post.

Hello... Is the MB at a different ANGLE than the "build location" ?...
4) The weight of the graphic card? Make sure when you tighten down the GPU card that it does not angle out of the PCIe slot... Some cases I have to "re-angle" the GPU mounting TAB... For pressure-less alignment.
5) Check your Molex connections from the PS... those pins/sockets can easily push out the back of the connector, when trying to plug them in... Or the sockets needs to be adjusted for a tighter connection.
6) Apply slight pressure around the Main Power connection of the MB... while trying too boot, and see if you can find the BAD connection location.

no don't think so upright build not on it side or anything. the GPU seemed solid. And after second failure. I tried booting without it ans still no post.

you said its a new build, it is possible your new beefy rig couldn't be powered by the wall by your desk. It could either be under volted, or it could have too much noise for the psu to handle. I have seen it happen before in apartments and old houses. It may be smart to get it checked if you think this may be the case. Usually a simple cheap multimeter will do. I also would always recommend getting yourself a battery backup.

Just a thought. It could be something completely different.

I have seen this problem as well.

One other thing could be that your CPU cooler is on the edge of shorting out your memory traces which is pretty common. If you remove your CPU cooler does it boot to BIOS? (Make sure to shut the PC of quickly as to not over heat the CPU)
A memory problem causes all lights and fans to come on, but no boot. May be worth checking.

Out of curiosity, are there any beep codes or diagnostic codes being output from the mobo (may need to install speaker)?

no beep codes with ram installed. Just powers up fans and after a minute or so restarts. If ram is removed it will give an error beep i think 3 long beeps but i didn't really pay that much attention as i knew it would throw an error.

if the same setup can just be moved to the other room and it starts right up, you almost definitely have a bad wall socket. just enough power for the start of post, to do a ram check, and beep, before your gpu and other hardware fully initialize. I would stay away from that outlet until you are sure, just to be safe. unless I am missing another part of this issue.

would it cause the issue to be permanent? I tried moving it back to the wall socket where it worked and still could not get it going.

unfortunately, it could be. but in the case it is not, try simply holding down the power button for a good 15 seconds without a power cable. I know its kind of lame, but a charge could be anywhere on any part, even the ram, and it takes more than reseating to disperse it.

Thanks for all the help. So far nothing has worked I'm going to go ahead and RMA the MB and RAM and try again next weekend. This is incredibly frustrating but thanks for all your help.
