Hi! Friends my rig is
Asus maximus 6 hero
i5 4670k with hyper 212x evo
Kingston hyper x 8 gb 1600mhz
1tb hdd
seasonic eco 600watt psu
corsair carbide 400r case

I'm confused between asus gtx 960 strix 2gb and msi gtx 960 2gb gaming edition, more i search google, more i get confused.
I live in India and asus now has good service support here in Delhi and i know nothing about msi any one from India please reply for this concern.
I know asus has better build quality component used and i read somewhere on google that msi don't.

I'm going to oc this card so i want better and stable performer of these card.
I have done some research on toms-hardware and i'm leaning towards asus but msi looks better. Here are the links of comparision

So any one know about msi after sale service in India. The only thing i fear that on all online apps like flipkart, amazon india and snapdeal msi gtx 960 is the least sold gpu and asus gtx 960 is the best seller, so if it went kaput after installation msi will take months to replace it.

And price of asus is INR 16500, msi has price tag of INR19000.
Does msi really deserve extra INR2500.

When i was doing some research, i came across R9 380 4GB the price is almost comparable to gtx 960 msi. Is it a better choice. And is my psu right for that gpu?

Yes it is a better choice and your psu is okay. I have the msi r9 380 4gb and no complain. This is my first msi product and I am pretty satisfied with it. Also it is a good looking one.

Best luck!

SInce msi r9 380gb is way too expensive in india, i'm thinking of sapphire nitro edition. But i have a problem, that my psu has 2x6 pin pcie connector on same cable coming from psu. Is it ok?
And i read in many reviews that their card is dying in 3 months, bsod, several driver crashes during gaming, crappy driver performance, and insane frame drops. Is that true?

So today I went to computer market and found that r9 380 4gb was unavailable. Therefore i asked the price of msi and asus gtx 960. Asus gtx 960 4gb has lower price than msi 2gb. I know that due to its 128 bit bus width 960 can't utilze 4gb but in some game it does help.
But i read on tomshardware that asus gtx 960 cards gives spikes to motherboard connector is that right? Will it result in hardware failure.

Well Aakash,

didn't hear about that. I had great experience with asus too, never had any problem with its hd 6950 for four years, which is now used by my kids. Generally you never know what are you buying on today market. So if you ask me, google more, specifically user reviews and make your decision. That's what I did. At the end you can always rma it. Wish you a best luck.

Hi! Friends thanx for your support.
Today i bought gigabyte g1 4gb v1.
But i've a question there are 2 version v1 and v1.1. The only difference i see is the power connector, v1 has one 8pin and second 6 pin whereas v1.1 has two 6 pin. Is there any more difference than that?
