ok, so I had a post on here regarding this issue, but unfortunately couldn't get a definite solution. I have been doing some other work on the situation and think ill just have to get another sound card. But anyhow here is what is going on.

I turned on my computer after a while of being turned off and found my integrated sound stopped working. I had recently installed a Nvidia GTX 560ti in the card along with my GTX 770. So i took both of them out, I uninstalled all sound drivers, all video drivers, all asus software..nothing, I used a separate hard drive and installed windows 10 on it fresh....nothing.. I installed windows 7 fresh on the hard drive....still nothing...Every time you plug and unplug jacks from the front or the back of the computer, the computer doesn't recognize anything being put in or out. I have checked my bios, checked the speaks, nothing....i'm so confused i've basically given up and decided to get a new sound card. My question is...what card could i get to either improve or get equal sound from my integrated system for decently cheap. ORR is there any other suggestions to check my computer to try and fix the issue? Here are my specs.

Asus p8z77v-deluxe
intel 3570k
750w consair psu
8gig ddr3
too many hard drives to name lol
nvidia gtx 550ti
nvidia gtx 770
windows 7, or windows 10

I appreciate any help with this greatly.

Thanks!

It's possible your computer was trying to use the audio output from your 560ti when you installed it, and things got worse from there. I would suggest confirming that's not the case, and then reinstalling the audio drivers for your motherboard. Also check in the BIOS that onboard audio is selected.

I've actually tried that as well. I Uninstaller the drivers for audio and video and reinstalled them with and without the graphics cards in. Nothing...and I did check that bios was updated and had on board audio checked to be turned on. It's such a weird situation that's why I'm thinking I just need to get a pcie audio card. I just don't know what to get that's decent...and can restore my front audio ports
