Can i connect an internal Hard disk to a pc

Hi, i have a PC thag is installed on it widows 7 and everything is ok , i have another hard disk that is installed on it widows 7 and i want to connect it to my pc to take from it some data that i want , is that fine or something will be damaged? Thanks,

Hi there Mohab55,

Yes, you can do that. You can connect the drive either internally through SATA or externally via SATA to USB cable+ a power cable if the HDD is 3.5''.
After you attach the drive, you can just transfer the data that you need to your primary one. If you plan on using the second drive as a storage one, and you've backed up all the data that you need, you can just reformat it. You can do that if you go to Disk Management.

It should work, not going to say without issues being as the 2 sets of OS`s has diff drivers installed and so forth, but it should load. I`d rather say place both drives in the PC, boot from the one you want to use and just copy from the other drive as you would from and to an external.
