Hello,
so here's the deal.
My Acer machine is using "Samsung 4 gb 1Rx8 PC3L 12 800S (1600mhz) 11-12-B4" .. this ram operates on 1.35V or 1.5V, I've checked with samsumg's product list but I can't find anywhere on the motherboard how much is it actually 1,35V or 1,5V .. so it blew up nad I got "PQI 2x2GB DDR3 1333mhz 1.5V" ram from an old machine ..
So my question is can I put the 2gb 1.5V and will it work or if the motherboard works only with 1.35V will the 1.5V that I'll be putting be damaged?
The only thing I could find about my machine is the CPU - intel celeron N2820 and I can't find anything 'bout the motherboard to be sure if it works with 1.5V or only with 1.35V
my machine is Acer Aspire E1-510

Solution
It should tell you on the RAM stick itself what voltage it runs at (usually denoted by a L in the model number somewhere).
I can confirm though, that your system uses the L variety, so 1.35V and won't then work with that RAM you are wanting to use.
