problem in front panel in pc building

i have a asus m5a78l-mlx3 motherboard .i have a preowned cased of acer(the old ones) and i am upgrading my pc.but after doing all the stuff when i pressed the power button it didnt turn on.then i found that the front panel in the motherboard has different types of pin layout than the ones in my pc case.but when i turn on the power the motherboard light is on althought nothing else runs

it won't turn on because you've not plugged anything into the pins that power on the system, is that wire in the picture the one the case provides to connect to both start and reset button? if so you need a new case or you will have to manually start the system with a flathead screw driver every time XD
