Hi All,

Why won't my Netgear 3G DGN2200 modem allow my Linksys RE3000W N300 Ranger extender to connect with it?

Could a setting my Netgear 3G DGN2200 modem be preventing my Linksys RE3000W N300 Range extender from connecting with it? What setting would this be and how would I change it?

Negear in the States just ignores my e-mails where I ask them about the Negear Router.

Best regards,

Yanni

Can we assume that you've logged onto the Linksys device via your browser and walked through the setup wizard, which will allow you to find the wifi networks in your area, select your one, enter the correct credentials and then save and reboot the device?

some wifi routers you need to put in the mac info of the repeater and in the repeater you have to put in the mac info of the router for both of them sometime to work. also check how you have the repeater set up if your setting it up as an ap turn of dns on the repeater as the router is doing it for you.

I suspect it might be this. The Linksy technician told me it might be this but they aren't allowed to interfere with someone else's router which is not Linksy make.

How would I exactly put in the mac info etc?
