PC specs to start.
bought from Cyberpower in 2012
i5 3570k liquid cooled
EVGA 980 ti (problem started with PC AMD 7970, but replaced)
Gb Z77-DS3H mobo
cx850m PSU (Started with Tx850, but replaced)
Case is a Haf 912
OS is on my SSD
one Fan in front, one in back attached to the liquid cooling.
Basically a week or so ago I was playing World of Warships and one monitor turned brown, and the other blue. Crashed and then would not even post. If i unplugged it and left it for a bit it went back on but the same problems would persist but the screens would be different colors everytime. I was planning on upgrading Gpu so I switched from my 7970 to a 980 ti hoping it was going to fix the problem. After 2 days 980 begin to put small white boxes on the screen and then crash. This time I can restart it and it posts. But then lines appear and it doesnt turn on. I also replaced the PSU to the cx850m hoping that was the issue (from a tx850)
I can remove the card and run Intel HD and it runs perfectly fine. I took it to a tech and he did what he could but the problem far from solved it seems. It is potentially the mobo pci slot. Maybe bad ram? hopefully not my cpu. Though I can use my PC fine with intel Hd and no card installed. I doubt theres not enough power running one 980 ti with an 850, but when it crashes I can see the LED on the card turn on, then off, then on again, then it boots for a second then crashes.
As I said right after I purchased the 980 ti It worked perfectly for about 2 days. I played WoW on Ultra. Rocket League on High. Opened up Grav (which is much more demanding) and the problems occurred again. Now I can barely even keep my PC on for a few minutes with the card in without it crashing. Though at the shop it stayed on for a while which was really odd? I really have no idea what to do at this point please help :/
Also we checked the logs and not much showed up though I actually got a legit blue screen to day for the first time so maybe that will show up.
Also need to mention I am no IT guy so I really don't know too much beyond what I've said.
Thanks for reading.
