So I have gone out and decided to build a pc and be part of the master race :)!!!!!!!! I went on pcpartpicker, watched countless hours of videos, read books/manuals, talked to people both online and in person, and have done everything in my power to make the process smooth. I stayed away from bad brands and I also stayed away from products with a tendency to be defective just to make it easy. WELL GOSH DANGIT I HAVE HARDWARE ISSUES ;(((((((!!!!!!!!! I am really discouraged about this and for the money I paid I really hoped that the hardest thing I would do was putting it together, not trouble shooting hardware. So here is my situation and a link to my build will be below. I do not have my graphics card or monitor yet but I decided to start building. I grabbed my antistatic wrist strap, took the carpet out of the room, cleaned my hands and started to work. It wasn't to hard, actually quite enjoyable. So I installed the psu, cooler, cpu, some fans, the ram, and the mobo. then I wen I was done, I was practically shaking because I was sooooo careful, I powered it on to see b7 on the mobo. then my heart sank. so I researched and did some tests with 1 ram with each dim and for each I got error 50 something (both errors are ram related) Anyways I reinstalled the cpu and tried again and again with the same result so something is defective. But this is where my questions come in; should I wait till my gpu comes in so I can get a visual? should I update the bios, could the update make a difference? I just want the damn thing to work before Christmas and idk if I should just rma now both the mobo and ram or attempt something else. Even that idk the rma number to talk to newegg, can somebody drop it below? I am confused as hell, any insigjht at all regarding anything would be really nice :)

Try running the setup with just one RAM module (repeat with all four RAM modules you have in the kit) and try all the RAM sockets with each module. If that also doesn't work, then both the motherboard and ram is bad. If not, you will see which is bad.

Looks like you got DDR4-3000 ram and your MB only supports it when OC'd:
"Supports DDR4 3000+(OC)*/2933+(OC)/2800(OC)/2400
(OC)/2133/1866/1600/1333/1066 non-ECC, un-bufered
memory"
So up to DDR4-2133 would have worked out-of-the-box, but anything above requires some BIOS tweaking.
Wait for your GPU so you can see what to change in your bios.
