Hello, I [still] have the ol' Intel Core 2 Duo Q6600, and I was wondering what good CPU coolers are available

So, I have a Core 2 duo Q6600 CPU and an ASUS PK5 Premium MOBO.
I have overclocked the CPU to about 4 GHz, but the only problem is that it's averaging about 60C, so I would like to get a new cooler that would be really effective that also fit it's socket, thanks

A good cooler is 'Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO' it gets the job done very well. Be warned it is HUGE! So make sure it fits in your case. Would you mind telling me what case you have (or the case dimensions if you aren't sure)?

The good ol' Core 2 Duo Q6600 uses a LGA775 socket.

The CM 212 Evo supports that socket and would be a very good choice for a budget improvement over the stock heatsink:

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($19.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $19.89

*Be sure to check your case clearance, the EVO is 6.26" (159mm) tall.

Thanks, and I'm not looking for budget really, nut I guess my max price would be £50

If you can afford 7 pounds more this would be one of the best air coolers you can get, and it still supports the LGA 775 socket. Massive cooling, and very big as well, so for a heatsink like this be sure to double check your clearances!
