Looking around i've thrown together a list of components for my new pc rig, and i'd like to hear the opinion of more experienced people so...here we have it! :

Corsair RM 550w power supply,gold certified (i'm not sure if this one will be enough but...i'm here to get suggestions after all!)
Intel core i5-6600 fc-lga14c

The Seasonic would offer better protection for you components. The 6600 and Z170 have a longer upgrade path. If you are actually getting the 6600 and not the 6600K, you could use an H170, H110, or B150 chipset, since you won't be overclocking. In fact, you might save a few Euros by getting an i5 6500, B150 board and DDR3. You won't need the cooler, either. If you are going to overclcok, I would stick with the 6600k and the Z170 chipset.

so:
switching the corsair 550w for a seasonic s12II 620w would be a better option?
regarding the cpu: i've put aside around 1300 euros, if i have the means shouldn't i invest in the intel 6600 ? or it's more an incompatibility problem?
