My question is, if you can boot from this device on this motherboard?

The model name is MZ-V5P512BW.

I didnt come across any reviews of people using the 950 but they have successfully used its OEM version the 951.
It defintiely support NVME boot.

yes, i also saw they used its oem version. it should be the same - because this chip is almost or completely the same

Fwiw, it's possible to boot from that M.2 with a Sabertooth Z170 Mark 1
