Hey guys,

So I got a 1tb 850 evo on cyber Monday. My current setup is just a 5400 1tb drive with 64gb Msata cache.

When switching to the SSD will having the Msata increase performance, decrease performance or do nothing? Also suggestions as to what to do with it?

Solution
Most likely, do nothing. Actually, might slow it down just a touch.
Having an older small SSD as a cache for a new faster one...no benefit, and maybe a small deficit.

If it can be addressed as 'just another drive', do that. Use it for whatever. Scratch space for your image editing application, space to save browser downloads...whatever.
