So clearly I'm using TP-LINK 450Mbps Wireless N Adapter and I'm not able to connect to the internet due to DNS Server not responding. Router is like some Comcast thing, I don't know. In my roommates room and I've never seen it.

My OTHER wireless adapter, Belkin 54g Wireless USB Network Adapter, works fine but it's a coworkers and I can't just keep it permanently.

Things I've tried:

- ipconfig /flushdns
- Google's DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4
- OpenDNS 208.67.222.222 and 208.67.220.220
- Updating drivers
- Blood Sacrifice to Lucifer

Not really sure what to do next. Problem obviously isn't my router since my other network adapter is working just fine as I type this. I just recently got the TP-LINK adapter so it's not a new problem, as in it didn't all of the sudden stop working - I haven't been able to connect with it at all yet.

Should also mention everything looks to be fine; it's got full connection bars and says it's all connected until I actually try and open a browser or connect to Steam, then DNS never responds.

Any thoughts?

No specific solution, but.... The DNS message is likely telling you you don't have an internet connection despite the superficially correct operation of the wifi. Try pinging google.com then ping 8.8.8.8 (skips DNS) to verify the connection or lack there of.

Thanks for the reply. What exactly is "pinging" and how do I do it?
