Hey, I need a decently silent and reliable PSU and I'm on a budget. Sadly, I can't get all those relative cheap XFX, EVGA and Cooler Master that most of you guys recommend in here and at good prices because I live in a region where I can't get those brands and the prices also suck big time. Those are like 50$ @newegg, in my region are like double so no.

This are the PSU's that I can get with good deals in my region, atm:

Corsair VS Series CP-9020096-EU, 450 W, PFC Activ, ATX 2.31, 12 cm fan

Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze 520W

I got an non-K i5 stock heatsink and the usual and boring 8gb ram, 240 ssd config and so on with nothing special.

Atm I'm running on the iGPU but I'll get the GTX 960 or maybe/maximum the GTX 970.

This http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator is kinda confusing because it gives me like 370~ish wattage with an GTX 970 attached to my actual system. Nvidia says minimum is 500W and friends tell me that I need to play safe and get some 550/600W's.

What do I really need and it's that Corsair ok for a non-OC-able i5 paired with a GTX960? The 970 it's just a "maybe". I know that this particular Seasonic it's better than that Corsair, but the price difference it's also like 30%. Can I get that cheap Corsair and be ok? (I owned a Corsair before, some 600-650W model for a joke of a card that didn't even need juice in it and now I'm kinda scared to not overpay for something too powerful and not use it to the full extent - but the quality of it was good, reliable and silent but came pricey, like the most expensive component in my old system lol)

Thanks! :D

Solution
A) Seasonic S12II is Bang for the Buck PSU.... Dont Worry about it....

B) The Youtube link is for a Seasonic M12II 520w.... but, still it's all about luck.... anyone get a faulty psu but it has 5 yes warranty....

C) Seasonic S12II 520w good for GTX 960.... but i will prefer a Seasonic S12II 620w for the GTX 970 just for enough headroom.... but still GTX 970 will work with a Seasonic S12II 520w as well....

it's better to go with the Seasonic.... Seasonic PSU Are of good quality and reliable, including the Seasonic S12II Series.... u can also look at the ANTEC VP Series also.... they are also good....

520W should be Sufficient for a GTX 960....

Seasonic hands down, far better PSU in terms of quality and much better suited for your needs, and even future upgrades, as long as you don't go SLI/Crossfire you will be fine. You are not overpaying - you are paying more for better quality and better longevity. In the end, this usually saves money, not vice versa.

Thanks both of you guys for the answers :D

So Seasonic S12II-520 Bronze 520W seems to be what I need but I have some further questions:

a) is 67 $ a good price for this particular model? (5 years warranty too)

b)it's a reasonably quiet PSU? I read over the internet that some guys had bad luck with this Seasonic, some clicking metal noise link in here

c)I'm pretty sure it's more than adequate for an GTX 960, but what do you guys think it's gonna be if I get a sweet deal on GTX 970, would it be able to handle it + a non-K i5? :D
