Hi Folks,
First time posting so be gentle - lol. I'm having issues getting sound from any of the speakers other than the center speakers of my Z906 Surround Sound system. I'm currently on Windows 10 if that matters and I'm trying to use the onboard RealTek Audio which I've updated the drivers to version 6.0.1.7571. I can get the center speaker to work in stereo sound and also 7.1 (if I disable the side speakers) but anything else (i.e. 5.1 etc), there is no sound coming out of any of the speakers. I was wondering if anyone has any idea as to what the issue is. I'm using the 6 channel direct input cables and have hooked them up according to the motherboard manual (which is color coded for dopes like me so I can't mess it up). Any help or guidance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi - thanks for the reply and sorry I didn't get back sooner. I basically have hooked it up according to the color code on both. Unfortunately, on the subwoofer it doesn't indicate which colors are line it/line out/subwoofer type of thing. On the mother board it does. Thus I just went orange to orange; black to black and green to green. Reading the motherboard documentation, it appears that's how it should be arranged for 5.1.

I'm not sure what you mean by using the remote to enter test mode. I do have the remote and I don't see anything for 'test mode'. I really appreciate you responding!

You appear to have everything connected properly
Testing your system
To test whether you have correctly set up
your speakers, press and hold the INPUT button
on the remote control or control console for
5 seconds to put your system into test mode.
In test mode, the system cycles through each
speaker, playing an audible test signal. The test
signal comes from only one speaker at a time,
in 5-second intervals, in the following order:
left front, center, right front, right rear, left rear,
and subwoofer.
As a channel is tested, its corresponding LED
lights up on the front panel of the control
console. The test signal cycles through each
speaker one time and stops. To re-enter test
mode, press and hold the INPUT button on
the remote or control console for 5 seconds.

Did you set the speaker setup to 5.1 mode in the supremefx software?

Hi popatim,
Thank you again for your response. When running the 'test' (thanks for that information btw), I do hear something out of all the speakers. I do have it set up in 5.1 mode in the RealTek HD Audio Manager also. I'm on the RealTek Driver version 6.0.1.7571. I'm literally baffled as to what the issue is. My only thought is that it's an issue with Windows 10 and RealTek perhaps?
