Hello everyone, I'm getting beyond frustrated trying to get this one resolved, so if anyone could help me out before I officially lose it, I'd really appreciate it.

I recently purchased the Motorola ARRIS SB6141 to replace the Comcast modem I was renting. Everything checked out on Comcast's end as far as my connection went and I got my local connection up and running.

Later on that night, I configured my Airport Extreme to work with the modem, however, the local area connection stopped working. When I fixed the local area connection, the wireless stopped working. It's either/or and if someone could walk me through step-by-step I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks

I suspect an IP address conflict.

Probably too much involved to provide a step-by-step as you have already done some configuration.

Here is the User Manual:

Did you do any resets on the modem or Airport Extreme?

Check your IP addressing and DHCP settings?

You should find the Airport Extreme's IP's on the bottom of the device.

Map out or plan out your understanding of what the overall configuration and IP addressing should be via the User Manual and the configuration work you have done so far. Keep an eye on the IP addresses being assigned or any static IPs now in use. There should be no duplicates and only one device should be handing out IP addresses. Also, between connections (e.g., AirPort Extreme to Modem) allow some time for the two devices to really finish up their handshaking and communications. Watch the connectivity indicators as appropriate.
