GPU shuts down during burn-in test and gaming

I have an RM750 power supply (not the best, but I got a good deal on it) and an MSI R9 390 GAMING 8G graphics card. The box says a minimum of 750w required, but I'm having problems properly running things. I have checked that my GPU is seated fully in the PCI-E slot and that all power connectors are plugged into it, and have run tests on my cpu and ram. It works fine for light gaming and running stress tests with kombustor, but as soon as I start up a burn in test or a demanding game, I hear a continuous beep from my motherboard and my GPU shuts down. The rest of the system will still run, however. Is this an issue with the wattage of the power supply, or is something else wrong with my system?

CPU temps are stable, around 60C at full load
GPU temps are the same, around 50-60C
PSU isn't very hot either, I don't have a number, but it's low enough for the fans to not be spinning, plus I don't think the PSU is overheating because I've been able to stably run it for hours while playing light games like CS:GO
