Good evening.

I am hoping to get some insight here because im at the point of considering reformatting my machine.
dxdiag: http://oi66.tinypic.com/1zavra.jpg

If my connection drops for any reason, whereas if its unplugging the RJ45, ISP issue, or trying to sue a VPN the internet connection drops and it never comes back up until the computer is restarted. I get the famous Yellow Triangle and cant do anything from there.

I even ended up buying another NIC card(been using the integrated card), I bought a regular Dlink PCI and the same issue happens.

Im to my wits end on what to do, I need to start using a VPN connection soon since I will be out of the country and I just dont know how to resolve this.

PS as far as security goes I use BIT defender internet security, but I had this problem long before I installed bitdefender.

Thanks in advance.

Possible, because windows power management has never worked properly. Adapter propterties in the Device Manager -> Power Management -> Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power.

Sorry, that was just a guess based upon experience. It could be so many things. If you do a quick disable and then re-enable of the adapter, does it work? Or are you still forced to restart the machine? And, I'm not sure I could diagnose your problem either way, but it might help others that come along.
