I'm trying to build out a server based on the IBM (Lenovo) x3100 M5 box. I'm trying to set-up a Mushkin 1TB Reactor SSD as the boot drive but it looks like the BIOS isn't able to recognize the SSD. Anybody have experience with this set-up?

I'd suggest you to try resolving this connectivity issue by resetting BIOS. You can use one of the following methods here: http://www.wikihow.com/Reset-Your-BIOS
This will get the BIOS settings back to factory defaults, so you'd need to reconfigure them afterwards.
You might also try using a different SATA cable and plugging the SSD to a different SATA port. If you have access to another computer, connect it there as well and see how it will pop up.
If that doesn't help, you should check the motherboard manufacturer's website and make sure you have updated the BIOS firmware to the latest available version. Hopefully, this will get the system to recognize the SSD.

Good luck! Hope I was...
