Would this be a good build? Or would they not work very well.

start with a better cpu the amd fx line been dead for a long time. hold off on the gpu as newer pascal cards are dropping soon. use the funds you have now for a good base and then drop a good gpu in.

newer skylake cpu build.

Solution
Any current AMD is a bad match with a 980Ti, the AMD's are just too weak.

As for holding off for Pascal, the last I read was a Q2 launch in 2016 which means late Q2 or even early Q3 before they hit the shops. If you need a pc now just buy now. Both builds above a far better match for a 980Ti.
