Dear everyone/anyone, for the past few weeks now i've had my bought N600 running in modem mode to the super hub2 from virgin. I'm an avid gamer and so thought this would solve all my connection issues like lag, drop in frame rates and a constantly unreliable in general connection. Everything was fine for a few hours then lag started to creep back in so i switched to wifi and proceeded to keep playing. Now the wifi runs better than my wired connection with less of everything negative and it's grinding my gears now. I have 100 m/b broadband atm and live near Liverpool so no problem with my area for a crap connection, i have a 6m/b signal booster attached to the virgin hub coax cable to sort connection issues from a last visit from a techy but no diff. I now think that it's the coax cable from the wall mounted white box to the hub, all problems are due to a wired connection as wifi is speed testing at 100+ and wired a measly 30+. My question is does anyone have a better coax or diff cable to use plus pronged ends that insert in2 hub, or a better solution to a wired connection solely ps4. I may be completely wrong but with changing ethernet cables and previously running through Lan with no change i'm now stuck. Thanks for any responses and/or solutions to my ponder it's greatly appreciated, thanks for taking the time to read.

Solution
Start your testing by running a long ethernet cable directly to the router. See how that works. Then add in links to the chain and test at each point. Find out where the weak link is.

Thanks for answering Kanewolf i appreciate you taking the time to help me out, i've read your comment but i'm a little confused so please excuse me for asking could you reiterate please. I've my Virgin white wall box where the white double ended pronged coax cable screws from there into the standard Virgin hub2, then running the V hub2 in modem mode have 1 ethernet cable from the modem port to my N600's modem port, lastly 1 from my N600 to the Ps4 in lan port 1. Could you please explain where to run a long ethernet cable directly to the router would start from, thanks.
