Compatible of mother board to graphic card

Hello everyone,

My computer mother board is Lenovo sharkbay and CPU is core i5 4460S.
I wanna install a graphic card: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 750 Ti DirectX 12 ZT-70605-10M 2GB 128-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 HDCP Ready Plug-in Card Video Card.
However, I do not know that the mother board is suitable to graphic card or not.
Can anyone else explain to me:
1. Can the 3.0 gate of the graphic card be install in the mother board?
2. Do I need to equip my computer with an addition power supply?

Thank you,

  1. Yes, you can install that Graphics card to that motherboard.
What power supply do you have now?
But you wont probably need a new power supply since the card only takes power from the pcie slot, and it isnt a power hungry card.
  2. I do not have the power supply.
That is the reason I ask for it.

Oh, then you should atleast get a 450W power supply. I would say get a 550W or higher for future upgrades if you find a good and a cheap one. I would recommend manufacturers like Seasonic,Evga,XFX.

Your computer must have a power supply, open the case and look at the rating for it. For a 750 Ti, although close to being unstable, a 280 watter should run it. If it's 250 or so, then get a 750 or upgrade the power supply.

Also need to know your case size, brand and model of computer.
