Hi there.
I have got from ebay an Asus Maximus Z87 Hero VI motherboard dirt cheap. But i don't have a 1150 processor to test it further.

Sofor now i want to find out at least if it can let current through it.

If i put the 24 pin plug, should i see some lights on the motherboard? Like the start/on/off red button that it has?

Thank you.

If you got it for dirt cheap im assuming there has to be an issue with it.. lights and stuff SHOULD come on but that doesnt mean there isnt an issue.. there could be issues with the SATA ports or CPU socket or PCI and RAM lanes

Yes. Lights are on.
The start button and reset one.
So far so good.

Wil find a cpu and ram and will update.

Just to be safe i would test with a crappy CPU and ram, just to make sure.. you wouldnt want to spend money on nice gear and have it destroyed because some jack a** sold his dead mobo
