First Build, am I on the right track?

Hello Everyone,

I'm entering this new and uncharted territory of building my first PC. I've done a fair bit of research (though I'm sure not nearly enough) and put together a parts list.

http://

I wanted to have something that went a little beyond my current needs to cancel out needing to upgrade to soon. Though, I still wanted something that had room for upgrade options should I want/need them later. This is going to be a multi-use PC for work, recreation and hobbies.

My current needs/wants:

Gaming. Nothing too intense as of yet, mostly games along the lines of World of Warcraft for myself and Dungeons and Dragons type games for my husband. That will likely change in the future to a more complex level.

CD/DVD burning. Only on occasion, maybe a few times a year. But, I want it to work when I need it.

A lot of internet use. We get most of our entertainment, news, weather, etc, via our computer. Streaming movies and tv shows.

Photoshop and video editing, a lot of that.

We are also are both guilty of working on more then one project at a time. We've both been known to have three or more different projects, using different programs going on at once.

Writing, a lot of writing both as a hobby and for work. Will need to handle the dragon software (I'm pretty sure this build I have in mind will and then some, it needs a 16-bit recording sound card) and the usual charts and graphs.

Between the two of us, this PC will be on all day and most of the night. It would even be on while we were out, playing an audible story for our dog to help keep him calm while we are away.

Music. We both love music, it gets played throughout the day.

USB ports get a lot of use between wireless speakers, mouse and keyboard, printer, external storage, plus plugging in a flash drive and other devices for transferring files.

So far as I can tell, I managed a list that balanced between a decent first setup that won't require an upgrade for some time but, with a little room to grow later. What do you think, am I on the right track or is their something off about my setup? Perhaps a part or two that could be exchanged out for something the same, better, or more suitable for less/more/same amount of money?

Thank you for taking the time to look over my inquiry,

SunFinch

You are not on the right track. The PSU is total overkill. Photo editing and video editing programs typically run better when you have a cpu that is better multithreaded, ie I7/Xeon 123x or better. Network card is not needed, motherboard has that. This is similar in cost, and far more powerful for what you want to do.
