Hi everyone. I am looking for a new cpu cooler for my processor Phenom II x4 965 BE. I built the computer a while back and the stock cpu fan has always been so noisy. Was hoping for a much quieter replacement under $30. Any help would be much appreciated.

I recommend spending a little more for the CRYORig H7. It is the best budget cooler on the market.

This does look nice . I should add I have not overclocked anything. And my temps stay pretty low. I am hoping I can find a cooler that I will not have to remove my entire motherboard to install. Have you installed this cooler before? I also just want to be absolutely sure it will fit properly.

If you have the cooler with the copper heatpipes and the really small fan, here is a pro tip for you.
There is nothing wrong with the cooler, its just the fan that is very noisy.
You need a bigger fan.
I removed the AMD fan, got an old fan from an intel stock cooler, and glued it to the plastic surrounding the AMD cooler so it sits just above where the original fan lived. You could probably do the same with any 100mm fan.
I am running my Phenom II overclocked at 3.6Ghz with no problems, and it is a lot quieter than the original fan.

I have this one and it's pretty good and quiet. It came free with my I7-6700K. I used it for a little while before I put in my water loop. It's quiet and kept the cpu cool.
