EVGA GTX 970. Precision shows clock speed above boost (no OC).

After looking on EVGA's website the base clock speed is 1216MHz and the boost clock speed is 1367MHz. As the title states I've done no overclocking to this card or any other adjustments, boost is off and I'm using default Precision settings yet it says that the GPU clock is at 1404MHz when playing TERA. Is this normal?

Its commonly known that it boosts above the advertised speeds. The EVGA variant at least.

So it's nothing to worry about? Just afraid that it'll damage itself running higher than the boost clock.

No, dont worry about it. My EVGA 970 does the same, as do others.

Its designed to go much higher than that via purposeful over clocks. That little bit wont hurt it at all.
