Good day everyone,
I am looking to purchase a RAM upgrade for my HP Pro 300 SFF. The HP website states what is required for a RAM upgrade: http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c01924649-2 Anyways, I found some RAM, here: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/kingston-technology-valueram-4gb-desktop-memory-module/1307244739.p?id=mp1307244739&skuId=1307244739 that seems to match what I need, but I just want to make sure, because the last time I bought RAM, it apparently wasn't compatible with my PC, even though Crucial said it was.

Requirements for RAM:
DDR3-SDRAM DIMMs
For proper system operation, the DDR3-SDRAM DIMMs must be:
-industry-standard 240-pin
-unbuffered non-ECC PC3-10600 DDR3-1333 MHz-compliant
-1.5 volt DDR3-SDRAM DIMMs
The DDR3-SDRAM DIMMs must also:
-support CAS latency 9 DDR3 1333 MHz (9-9-9 timing)
-contain the mandatory JEDEC SPD information

The RAM I am looking at has:
Memory Size: 4 GB
Memory Technology: DDR3 SDRAM
Memory Voltage: 1.50 V
Number of Modules: 1 x 4 GB
Memory Speed: 1333 MHz
Memory Standard: DDR3-1333/PC3-10600
Error Checking: Non-ECC
Signal Processing: Unbuffered
CAS Latency: CL9
Number of Pins: 240-pin
Form Factor: DIMM

Thanks, and happy holidays!
-Jake

Solution
Sorry for delay in response. It takes awhile to research compatible memory.

If using an existing 2 GB module in the system, then could try to get another three of the same modules. But note that all modules have different characteristics. No two modules are exactly alike, even those with the same part number. It is possible that due to variation in module characteristics, the modules may not be compatible with each other. So it might take several tries to find compatible modules.

Could try getting four new 2 GB modules as listed below to replace the current memory. But again, due to module characteristic variations, it might take a few attempts with other modules to find a compatible combination.

Found the following 2 GB modules...

Thanks for the help. Would you know possibly of any 2GB DDR3 modules that I can purchase? I am looking to upgrade to 8GB, but I can't mix modules because the HP Pro 3000 particularly doesn't like having mixed modules... So if I want to get an upgrade, I am going to have to get two of the EXACT same modules already on my board, or just get 4 fresh modules. I would get more than 8GB, but the HP Pro 3000 also doesn't support more than 8GB. :( If you know of anything, please let me know.
Thanks!

Found the following 2 GB modules which are (or should be) compatible with the HP Pro 3000 -

Adata-

AD3U1066B2G7-B <- @ 1066 MHz

AD3U1333B2G7-B <- @ 1333 MHz (should down clock automatically to 1066 MHz)

AD3U1333B2G9-B <- @ 1333 MHz (should down clock automatically to 1066 MHz)

AD3U1600B2G10-B <- @ 1600 MHz (should down clock automatically to 1066 MHz)

AD3U1600B2G9-B <- @ 1600 MHz (should down clock automatically to 1066 MHz)

Transcend-

TS256MLK64V1U <- @ 1066 MHz

TS256MLK64V3U <- @ 1333 MHz (should down clock automatically to 1066 MHz)

Kingston-

KTH9600B/2G <- @ 1333 MHz (should down clock automatically to 1066 MHz)

There probably are some other compatible modules around but they have not as yet been identified.
