Can this be my Ram?

Hello folks, I'm in quite the bind.

A few weeks ago, my computer wouldn't POST. This happened for hours, until I took out all of my RAM, played with a few combinations, and put a single stick in a slot. It worked okay until it started crashing during gaming. I blue screened several times a day for a few days and decided to call it quits. Since then, the computer sounds like it's trying to boot up, then it won't post. Every now and then it will cycle back on (one in every 20 tries). If it shuts off, I'll try to clear the CMOS and it won't start. The computer doesn't shut off it I turn it on without the RAM in it. It's a fairly decent I5-3500k build.

I replaced the PSU and it didn't do anything. I tried putting new RAM in, and the same issue happens. The old ram that sometimes worked, in the single slot, is no longer working? Could the ram be fried? Does this sound like the motherboard?

editt:: The lights, fan, GPU and everything else powers on and cycles before it shuts off.

Thank you

what's your mobo, old and new ram? Could be your DIMM slots crapped out on you but the only way to tell is trial and error with known good ram. If you purchased new "compatible" ram and it still didn't work, then chances are it's your mobo.
