My old PSU died, so I bought a new PS Corsair CX750M. But this PSU has a single 8-pin connector. My MB has only 4-pin. I cannot return or exchange the PSU, is there anything I can do to use this 8-pin PSU on my 4-pin MB ?
thank you for your help.

Victorion is correct. Every PSU I've seen has a 4+4 that can be split if you pull on it. Technically you can plug the an 8pin cpu power connector to a 4 pin mother board header, the other 4 pins would just hang over. But there are two things you need to worry about.

1. The extra 4 pins could bend other parts like victorian said.

2. If you grab the wrong 8 pin cable you could blow the motherboard. I wanna say that a 8 pin GPU connector will actually fit. (and light your board on fire)

there should be a 4+4 connector on the cx series psu that you can split in half. You don´t want to connect it unsplit - as it may damage, bend or touch other components on the mobo.
