Hi! I'm new to this forum thingy, I just wanted to ask if I have a MSI 790GX-G65, and it is AMD/Ati supported, can I put a Nvidia GPU to it and have no problem with performance, drivers (I only want to use one Nvidia card)(I have a AMD CPU and AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series graphics card at the moment) but my old graphics card is only 1GB and its getting...old... so I was looking tought the sites searching for a new video card and there are some cool Nvidia cards. As you can see I know nothing about these stuffs, so I need your help!

Solution
Short answer: Yes you can install Nvidia GPU.

Long version:
Your motherboard has PCI Express x16 slot (Gen v2). There is no reason that it can be used only by AMD GPUs and if there were, the official site of MSI would have pointed that out and it does not:
http://www.msi.com/product/motherboard/790GXG65.html#hero-specification
You would be fine purchasing an Nvidia GPU.
Special Note: The PCI Express is Gen v2 and not Gen v3. That means that although your motherboard is compatible with almost any GPU, you do not unlock (in some cases) the full potential of a modern GPU. By modern I am not referring only to high/enthusiasts GPUs but any GPU that uses PCI Express Gen v3.

Hope this helps.
