I plan on buying parts this week for my PC, after doing my research I'm still undecided since some of the parts that was suggested to me is not available at the local store on my area, i'm from the Philippines by the way. I'm working on a very limited funds so i decided instead to list down the parts that meet my budget and hopefully you guys can help me out in building my PC.

I am in need of a system that can work perfectly in dealing with a lot of web browsing and research, videos and music, offline games (and online games, but not that much)

I already have a monitor, a Samsung b1930N 1360x768, a CoolerMaster Enforcer Case, a Seasonic S12ii 520w (the only psu on the tier list that I found on the forum and was able to purchase yesterday), and a pair of Geil 2Gb 1333 corsa memory.

Now moving forward to the parts:

Intel Processor
--------
*Pentium G3260 3.3 Ghz LGA 1150
*Core i3 4170 3.7 Ghz LGA 1150
(i like this one, though i have read about the Bios thingy with the motherboard so I'd rather not risk choosing an incompatible motherboard)

AMD Processor
--------
*AMD Kaveri A6 7400K 3.5 Ghz
*AMD Kaveri A10 7700K 3.8 Ghz

Intel Motherboards
--------
*Asus H81M-D
*Asus B85M-G
*Asus H97M-D
*Gigabyte GA-H81M-DS2
*Gigabyte GA-B85M-HD3

AMD Motherboards
--------
*Asus A68HM-E
*Asus A88XM-A

Video Card
--------
*Sapphire R7 240 DDR3 128bit Boost
*Palit GT 730 1GB DDR5 64 bit

I know there are other better parts than these but as of now these are the only ones that I can afford and I'm in great need of a working PC.

Can you please advice me of the best possible Intel and AMD build that you can come up with using the list.

Thank you so much.

Here are the charts for performance of various CPUs and GPUs:

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/cpu-hierarchy,4312.html

http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-graphics-card-review,3107-7.html

So, here's the thing:

The i3 is a better CPU; don't even think about the G-series Pentium. But, many new games won't even run on dual-core CPUs, you have to have at least quad-core.

The video cards you have listed are crap. The on-board A10 graphics are equivalent to a R7 240, and better than a GT 730.

So I would have to recommend:

A10 7700K
Asus A88XM-A
On-board graphics

Use the money saved to upgrade to 8GB DDR 1866.

If you can possibly squeeze out the money for a R7 250 or GT 740 (128-bit DDR5, accept nothing less), than the i3 will be better at most games. Just be aware that some games that require quad core won't be playable at all.

Thank you for the quick response. But say for example should I take the core i3 4170, which of these motherboard would be compatible?
In terms of gaming, I fairly much do not play a lot so I'm thinking would either of the video card be needed on an i3, i basically just play games like age of empires 3 just to pass time but I'm not a hardcore gamer.
My PC is pretty much my work pc and I'm a bit concern would taking the A10 cause me any issue since my pc would need to be online for a long extended period of time while working on multiple programs, and as I've read AMD tends to heat up faster than an Intel processors.
Please advice. Thank you.

seems like i already got answered prior to posting my question, now in terms of memory, the oly available option i got are the 12800/1600 and the 10600/1333, which of these would work with an A10 and as well with a core i3? And can i settle with just 4Gb of memory for the meantime up until I can upgrade it to either 8Gb or 16Gb?

I've seen that, but it is hard to find any actual data on the performance.

I did find this:

http://www.game-debate.com/gpu/index.php?gid=2274&gid2=2104&compare=geforce-gt-730-v2-vs-radeon-r7-7700k

Which puts the A10 graphics pretty close to the 730.

I still say save the money and buy more RAM, then buy a better video card later.

1600 and yes you can settle for 4gb now, and upgrade later
