hello, I curently have 4Gb or RAM on my PC I wanned to upgrade to 8Gb, and I wanned to know, what RAM chips can I plug in so they will work?
mobo is MSI G41M-P25 (2x ram slots)
CPU is intel core 2 quad q6600 running at 3.05 Ghz.
ram type DRR3-1333 max
can you tell me, which ram exactly will work?
because previously I bought a ram chip, and it didn't work, I even updated my BIOS, still nothing, so I took the PC to the "PC master" and they switched the chip with another chip, and it works.

You can check the QVL, but may well find that many (if not most) of the DRAM listed is no longer available, and contrary to popular beliefs - not all DDR3 is the same as you've found - more on this in my article FAQs and Fiction, Fiction, Item 1:

The far majority of DDR3 made today uses high density memory ICs that aren't compatible with socket 775, I'd suggest GSkill's NT series of value DRAM in a 2x4GB set (as there's no guarantees when mixing packages of DRAM (same article, items 2&6)

To be sure of compatibility, you need to check the QVL (Qualified Vendors List) for your motherboard. Or go to the RAM manufactures website and see which ram will work with your motherboard. Each RAM manufacturer will have tested their own ram in that motherboard.
