I ran the chkdsk /r /s command in CMD, and I did run it as an admin. I did this because I used HD tune pro and found 3 damaged blocks on my C drive, and I wanted to repair/fix it. I restarted my PC so the scan I ran would start, and so far, it has been stuck on 10% progress for almost two hours. I am posting this at 10:56, and I started the process at 9:12. Is this normal for it to take this long? Thank you for any help ahead of time.

Edit: PC specs just in case
CPU: Intel i5 4670K
Ram: 8Gb ddr3
Storage: 1 Tb WD black (C drive)
1 Tb WD Blue (B drive)
GPU: Gtx 970 MSI Gaming 4GB
Mobo: MSI h97 gaming
Running windows 10

Solution
it can take a long time, but if it has been stuck at one particular part its likely hardware failure, and the drive is ready to go. Back up your files asap, just my 2 cents.
Hi there MassimoT,

Sorry that you are facing some issues with your WD drive. :(
I would agree with the other guys and say that your HDD is most probably failing. This is why, you need to back up your data as soon as possible.
After that, you can run both(short and extended) WD's DLG tool tests. See if you will get similar results: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=QGj0cC

Is your drive under warranty? WD Blacks have 5 years of limited warranty. In case it is, and it fails the tests, you can just contact the place you got it from or contact WD's Support and eventually RMA it: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=Kg2GyB

Hi, thanks for taking the time to respond! My drive is/should be under warranty. I got it off amazon just over a year ago so I should be able to replace it. Thanks for the links, I'll be sure to check them out when I get home. Going to run those extra tests like you suggested. What's funny, is about two months ago, I bought another WD drive. I got the WD Blue, and if this drive fails as fast as this black one, I'm going to be somewhat annoyed :/ hopefully my drive turns out to be ok, my problems have since blown over and my PC is running perfectly again. However, I ran a test on the hard drive in HD tune and about 300GB in, it found three damaged sectors. I know this sounds stupid, but if there are damaged sectors, does that at all mean my drive could be failing? Thanks in advance :)

Yeah, it is unpleasant situation indeed.
In case a drive has even three bad sectors(hardware ones not logical ones), it means that it is failing. Bad sectors will eventually continue to appear. Yet, you can't really know when it is going to fail. It can fail in a week or it could stay like that for years.
