So my computer has recently been going into sleep mode, like the screen goes black and the power light begins blinking.

This happens whenever i am playing games. Initially i thought it was my cpu overheating because amd stock fans are not the best so i purchased a new one and installed it.

The problem kept happening so then i thought it was my graphics card, and using some of the thermal past i bought cleaned and re pasted that.

Running gpu-z the max temp it got to before my comp shuts off was 51C. From what i know that not shut down worthy. I have tried cleaning my registry as well to no avail and also ran a check disk. I am out of ideas.

Amd radeon R7 260x graphics
Amd Fx 6350 six core
MSI 970A-g46 Mother board

Update: Restored my computer to factory settings re downloaded all my drivers and the problem still persists, a few minutes of gaming and out goes my computer.

Thermaltake 500 wat power supply. As an added note i thought it was my hard drive giving out cause it was in its 10th year, but replaced it with a seagate hybrid drive and still the same problems.

dammit wrong button moused jerked from reply um i am sorry how would one test the PSU? last time mine was failing the smell of ozone was my indication.

Just another note when it does go into the sleep mode i cannot take it out unless i physically turn off the psu and turn it back on again 30 seconds latter until the power copletely dies out.
