choosing graphic card the best for gaming

Solution
950 is not considered an option vs the other 2, except if you are on a tight budget.

In a similar thread it has been answered that 960 4GB is better (not always, but most of the time) than the R9 380.

i would get the r9 380 4gb but it's up to your personal preference between the r9 380 and the gtx 960. But i wouldn't get the 950 unless your on a suuuuuuper tight budget even i would just get a use 7950 from newegg for 129

It's simple," pay more get more".
I would suggest a 4096 MB video card, if you want to play modern games at Max settings. I guess, the GTX 960 is slightly cheaper than R9 380 or else, the radeon looks a good deal to go with.

Completely backwards, the R9 380 is usually the superior card

A couple of frames per second in "some" cases does not make it the superior card IMHO especially when it uses 70w more to get those frames, and if you bring GPU compute into the equation then it falls so far behind the 960 it's not funny.

a couple of frames per second in the "usual" cases however, DOES make it the superior card.

Lets see, here in Ohio electricity costs $0.06 per kwh...so if I ran my card at full, peak consumption, for 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.... it would cost $36 more a year. Turning the ridiculousness factor down a touch to still be full consumption, but only 8 hours a day, 365....$12.

Not 100% consumption, 8 hrs/day - less than $10.

If those slightly higher peaks are reflected at both ends of the scale (and they invariably are) the end result is jerky visuals or a stuttering affect and there is nothing "superior" about that and as not everyone lives in Ohio their electricity costs will be different, obviously.

You're entitled to your opinion but in my experiance your mid range card gets it's silcon butt kicked by that low end card!
