Hi,
I received this gpu today https://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Graphics+Cards/NVIDIA+GeForce/GeForce+GTX+960/Gigabyte+GeForce+GTX+960+WindForce+4096MB+GDDR5+Graphics+Card+-+Inc+Heroes+of+the+Storm+Bundle+Pack+?productId=63534. I currently have a 750w psu, with a 6 pin connector going into my GTX 660 2gb, however I am able to connect a 2 pin section to make 1 8pin cable. My new gpu has a 6 pin and 8 pin slot, will my gpu work with this 1 8pin connection? Or do i need a new PSU?

Then you probably should hold off. That PSU might turn turn your new investment into a smoldering ruin. Good power supplies are the most important thing piece of equipment to invest in. Blackbird is absolutely right here.
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html Find one in the tier 1 or 2 list, first. Then when the funds allow, buy the graphics card.
I can't tell you how many times someone comes onto the forum looking for help and when they describe the problem, it's the PSU. Bad PSUs are probably the number 1 problem people have. Do yourself a favor and buy a good one.

I really need some help with this, I have just noticed In the box I received a 6 pin adapter with 2 4 pin power adapters attached, I also have 2 4 pin power adapters in my computer. Am I able to combine the 6+2 pin currently attached to my 660 and the 6 pin to 4 pin I received to create 1 6pin and 1 8pin? Which i can then use with the gpu?

So you don't recommend using two 4pin Molex' to a 6 pin and a 6+2pin to power my gpu with a 750w psu?
