So, today i want to create a new lowprice pc and i have this question :

What is the best for a "low price config" :

- Quad core 2.05Ghz ( AMD Athlon (5350 or other) )

- or Dual core 4.0Ghz ( AMD A6-6420K Black Ed. )

Thanks for any answers & sorry if i've got a bad english ( i'm french :) )

Bye ;) !

the a6 is a lot newer and be the better choice. i don't think the coding uses many cores so the 2 faster/newer cores should offer better performance than the older weaker 4 core cpu.

as a comparison, the pentium g3258 is about on par as the a6 and might be cheaper. don't know the prices in your area off the top of my head but the pentium is also an option for a low budget machine. however, i should not the built in gpu for the pentium is not as good as the a6 will have built in if that makes a difference to you.

It is for coding, sometimes playing ... but the most important is the speed.
