Hey guys, I'm planning to get a new GPU but i'm really confused what i should get nowadays.. AMD... Nvidia... Then it's AMD then it's Nvidia again..
now my first thought was getting a GTX 970.. or a R9 390(non X)
which one of these do you guys think i should get or do you know a better bang for buck videocard
in the pricerange of 350 euro's
These are my specs now
CPU: I5 4690K @4.1Ghz.
GPU: HD 7870 DCII 2GB GDDR5 V2.
PSU: 750 Watt
Corsair CX750M.
RAM: 16 GB Corair Vengeance Pro RAM @2400Mhz.
HDD's: 2x 1000Gb @ 72000RPM and 1x 500Gb @ 72000RPM.
SSD: 128GB Sandisk. (Boot)
Motherboard: ASUS Z97-K.
Case: MS-Tech CA-0300.
So as you can see.. my GPU is the worst part in my PC right now.. It's not bad.. But.. I could use an upgrade and i'm really confused what card i should get..
one more question..
i'm tring to overclock my ASUS HD 7870..
when I try to overclock my GPU's memory clock it's just fine when gaming but when I open a mp4 file or another video.. or in Google Chrome or other browser my primary screen crashes with white lines and when i close the browser it go's away ( not always but very often )
i have my card set to 3D in GPU tweak... enabled AMD overdrive and overclocked it with GPU tweak..
when I activate Gaming mode it'll crashes my first screen when opening a video due to the Memory clock that's being increased by that.
I overclocked like this:
First of al i did put the power limit to 20%
Second the Core clock 20Mhz steps every 20 mins
still stable at 1150Mhz stock clock is 1000mhz
Memory clock same procedure as this^^
then i set the core clock to default to see what memory speed it can handle..
then when i change something at Memory Clock.. i'm at the point things go wrong. and crashes.
I have 2 monitors.. the primary one crashes only..
I'm using the latest crimson drivers from AMD.
Thanks in advance!
