Hello! my friend built me this computer about a year ago. It should be running fine, but a couple days ago I was playing CS:GO and then my computer/fan would make a really loud noise and then my monitor would go blank. The computer would still be on though, and then restart.

After a couple times of that happening, a few days ago, my computer would fully not connect to my monitor, but the computer would still turn on.

So today, my monitor started up, I did unplug and replug in wires and such. But the fan is still loud and now my computer won't detect my graphics card.

Here are my specs.

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4430 CPU @ 3.00GHz
Manufacturer: Intel
Speed: 3.0 GHz
Number of Cores:4
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760
Manufacturer: NVIDIA
Chipset: GeForce GTX 760
Dedicated Memory: 2048 MB

Memory: 8.1 GB
Operating System:Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Service Pack 1
Size 64 Bit

Thank you in advance!

I am going through a similar issue and clutchc is correct, your gpu is dead. I have had two hd6950's since they first released and the other day I went through something similar. One of them is dead, the other is currently humming louder than it should and can barely handle any game on low settings. (I play mostly Wow). I would highly recommend looking at purcahsing a new gpu asap.
