Computer turns off then back on, when started up?

Ok so I just built my first desktop and everything seemed to go smoothly. I turned it on it and worked fine, played a few games and about a week later it got weird. I would hit the power button on my case and the computer would turn on for a split second, then it turns right off only to turn on again a second after and then run smoothly after that. It is worrying me something might get damaged if i don't fix it. After it turns off and then turns back on it is fine so i'm not sure what could be wrong but the fact it gets turned off for moment worries me. Can anyone help shed some light as to what is happening?

It could be a problem with your power supply, either you have a faulty one or not enough watts for what you have in the rest of your computer. Can you post your specs including the power supply you have?
