New PC start up troubles.

So, I just set up my PC build and was having trouble getting the monitor to display anything with my GPU installed. It boots fine, but I can't get the monitor to display anything with the GPU in there. When I took out the GPU it booted up fine, and I can get into the bios. The strange part is, the VGA LED doesn't indicate a problem with the GPU, it just flashes and moves on to the boot LED that stays lit even without the GPU installed.
